Lebanese Otaku is a lively online platform established in 2012, uniting Lebanese enthusiasts of anime,
manga,
art, and video games in a warm, inclusive environment. With a membership exceeding 3,000, we ignite
creativity
through various events, discussions, and collaborative projects, all while celebrating our mutual love for
Japanese and pop culture.
Founders of Otaku Con: We take pride in organizing Otaku Con and hosting the preliminary events for the
World
Cosplay Summit Saudi Exhibition.
Values: We advocate for diversity, challenge stereotypes around Otaku culture, and empower the next
generation
to express themselves with confidence.
With over a decade of experience in event planning and management, Lebanese Otaku has become a cornerstone
of
Lebanon's pop culture landscape. Having welcomed several impactful guests of honor, such as Mr Sammy Clark,
Mr Jihad Al Atrash, Saud Al Hazzani (Vega) and Maroun Merhej (Gh), we commit to creating a welcoming and
innovative atmosphere, resulting in numerous unforgettable events that draw fans together.
Saint George Hotel stands as a remarkable waterfront landmark in the heart of Beirut, providing guests with
breathtaking Mediterranean views and exceptional Lebanese hospitality. After several years of closure, this
iconic hotel is reopening its doors. Once the premier tourist destination and a significant cultural symbol
of Beirut's heritage, St. George has hosted many of the city's most notable events and welcomed some of the
world's most illustrious icons.
With elegantly designed rooms, exquisite dining options, and adaptable event spaces, it serves as the ideal
setting for everything from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Deeply rooted in history and
dedicated
to authentic service, St. George Hotel unites locals and visitors to savor the finest aspects of Beirut’s
culture and charm.
Social Anime Rejects (SAR) is Lebanon's pioneering anime generation—a close-knit group of friends since
2000,
who transformed their passion into a vibrant movement. At a time when anime was almost non-existent in
Lebanon,
SAR were bridging the gap during an era of slow internet and limited technology.
Organizers of Lebanon's inaugural cosplay event, and with the growth of their influence, SAR proudly hosted
unique community events like batsu games and Japanese potlucks.
Many SAR members have pursued studies, careers, or experiences in Japan. Their fascination with Japanese
culture goes beyond anime; it includes martial arts, manga creation, ikebana, and language learning. They
value
community connection through various activities, including gigs, hikes, board games, and more.
Under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism.
